Hepatic stellate cells were incubated with insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) (lane 2), FASL+CHX (lane 3) and IGF-I+Fas+CHX (lane 4) for 24 hours. As shown, FasL+CHX could induce cleavage of the inactive form of caspase 3 and this effect was partially inhibited by co-incubation with IGF-I.
