From: Anaphylatoxin C5a modulates hepatic stellate cell migration
CCl 4 -induced fibrosis was associated with expression of C5aR/C5L2 on activated HSC. Transgenic mice expressing GFP under the control of the collagen promoter were exposed to CCl4 for 5 weeks to generate fibrosis. Total NPC were isolated and analyzed by flow cytometry. Cells were stained with anti-C5aR and anti-C5L2 (PE) and gated for GFP and PE. Images are representative of three independent HSC isolations.
