Partial least squares model of necroinflammation activity grading. A one-component partial least squares (PLS) model was trained on the twelve selected genes (ten positive and two negative correlated) versus observed necroinflammation activity stage within the diseased needle biopsy samples alone (R2: 0.69, Q2: 0.66). Necroinflammation stage is predicted to within approximately ±0.5 stage.
