Peritoneal cavities of (A) healthy control animals, (B) animals coadministered CTGF and TGF-β2, and (C) animals coadministered CTGF and TGF-β2 and treated with anti-CTGF antibody FG-3019. Extensive fibrotic membranes surrounded most organs in the abdominal cavity in vehicle-treated mice that received both TGF-β2 and CTGF. A substantial reduction in gross fibrotic pathology was observed in mice that received TGF-β2 and CTGF plus FG-3019.
